Magic Guide

Magic is a very strong and way of combat that many runescape users love to use.
Magic or also know as Mage has two different sides to it. One is to kill Ncp's or players with strikes, bolts, blasts, waves and the other are spells are ones that don't hurt Ncp's or players such as alchemy, teleport spells.

If you would like to cast a spell you must have the runes and the magic level to cast that spell and you can check that by going to your spell book and hovering over the spell. ( shown in the picture below )



The image to the left is an example of the spell book
The image to the right is an example of when you hover over the spell it shows you what runes you need and what level. So for wind strike you need level 1 magic with one air rune and 1 mind rune.

Runes can be obtained in many different ways such as, by runecrafting, buying from players, Npc's or killing monsters for them. Some runes are harder to obtain then others such as a soul rune is much harder to find then a air rune.
There are stores all over runescape that usually have high stock in the runes they sell, most rune stores only sell the basic runes.
